Gift Ideas For The Big Man

Uh-oh!  It’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow and I haven’t had time to get him a gift yet.  Since our house help left for the province mid-July, our sched has been so hectic.  Somehow, twenty-four hours is never enough to care for the kids (cook food, bath, play, and tutor them), to finish all housechores, to work, and to update blogs.  Anyway, lest I get carried away complaining about our crazy schedule, here are some gift ideas I’m considering getting my hubby for his birthday.  The gift will definitely be late but I’m sure he’ll still appreciate the thought.

1. Perfume.  Since the kids started school this year, we’ve been trying to save more and spend less.   My husband decided to give up his cologne splurges and opted to buy less expensive ones.  I do miss the scent he used to wear when we were dating so I think I’d get him a bottle of Kenzo.
2. New Tools.  A man can never have too many tools in his collection.  Hubby has been busy fixing broken fixtures and other stuff here at home that I’m also considering getting him some industrial supplies to add to his tool set.
3. DLSR Camera.  He’s been wanting to get one but feels that 30-40K is best saved for kids’ tuition instead.  Prior to having kids, my husband always had the latest gadgets.  With kids though, he always put their needs before his wants.
