One Busy Saturday

Saturday is laundry day so we usually just stay home. The kids spend time with their Papa or do crafts while I wash our clothes. Last Saturday though was an exception. Right after hanging the last piece of clothing to dry, we all prepped for going out.

First stop was a quick lunch before the kids’ dental appointment. I’ve been encouraging friends in another state to get their children to a Dentist in Louisville early so they can get used to the visits, and to make sure they’re free from any issues. As for mine, the kids now go to My Dentist in SM where a pedia dentist is available on weekdays. It’s also more convenient going there since it’s much closer to our place than PCMC. Both kids had oral prophylaxis and fluoride application. As always, it was fuss-free and cavity-free. Yup! Both kids have stayed cavity-free up to now. Who’s not afraid of the dentist?

chillin’ coz there’s no drillin’ (still cavity free! woo-hoo!)

Spending time with the kids at the dentist got me thinking about my own teeth too. My best friend who lives in California has recently had some cosmetic dentistry work done at a Dentist in Sacramento and her new smile has got me debating whether or not I should treat myself too. Whitening treatments are very popular at the moment, and so are teeth straightening solutions such as Invisalign, so I am feeling tempted to get something done. Looking after your teeth is so important though which is why if you are considering getting any cosmetic dentistry procedures done, you should always do your research first, whether you are considering going to a Dentist In batavia, or a dentist in Budapest. Nonetheless, with cosmetic dentistry on my mind, after getting their “good patient” stickers from their dentist, we bought a couple of gifts for Jakei’s best friend in school who was celebrating her 6th birthday. Then off we trooped to Antipolo.

Jakei wouldn’t miss BFF Sam’s birthday party for anything in the world!

The kids had fun playing party games but we had to leave before the magic show started. I had dinner plans with mommy blogger friends and had to be at the train station before 6pm. Instead of going home, Papa Jay took the kids on a movie date. The kids had been waiting for the movie Big Hero 6 to be shown on the big screen so this naturally was the movie of the night. 🙂

 photo BigHero6.jpg

Kids were raving about this movie on the way home!

After the movie, they waited for me halfway to the house so I wouldn’t have to walk home all by myself. We arrived home a little after 10pm with Papa and I exhausted and the kids, as always, still full of energy. It definitely was a long busy Saturday for us, not the typical in-bed-by-seven-o-clock weekday sched. 😀

Care to share how your weekend went? I’d love to hear your stories too. 🙂

Magic Moments at The Magic Fun Fair

So what happens when kids are on school break? Well, this Mama gets to attend blog events! 😀 After a Sunday afternoon in Jollitown, I was able to join lunch at the Magic Funfair in Crowne Plaza Hotel on Wednesday. For a hermit-mom like me, two events in a week are already too many. I couldn’t pass up the chance to see John Lloyd Cruz up close and personal though so off I went to the Jack ‘n Jill Magic Funfair. 😉

Upon arriving at the venue, I was surprised to see carnival game booths inside the function hall. I was then given a Funfair ticket which I was to have stamped in each game booth.

 photo MagicMomentsticket.jpg

The first one was the Magic Flakes Photobooth where I had a picture taken with John Lloyd’s standee (was wishing he’d magically turn real right before the camera clicked ;-).

Each booth featured a Magic cracker variant and a player gets to win a bunch of the corresponding variants. I was able to knockdown a can at the Magic Coated Spill the Choco booth and catch three fishes of the same color at the Magic Junior Go Fish! Yey! Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on my side at the Magic Creams Magic Wheel of Creams and the Magic Chips TicTacChips booths. I had fun playing though and I got a bunch of my kids’ fave Magic Coated Choco Coated Cracker Sandwich.

While waiting for the program to start, guests enjoyed a buffet lunch with some dishes ingeniously incorporating Magic Crackers in their ingredients. The Leche Flan with Crushed MAGIC Cream Chocolate was an instant hit! Pardon me for not remembering to take photos of the food. Not only was I too caught up in the carnival atmosphere, but I also was too excited anticipating the arrival of THE John Lloyd Cruz.

The program opened with host Gelli Victor calling a couple of Jack ‘n Jill’s marketing officers to give updates on the Magic campaigns and to introduce Magic Fun Fair.  We met one of the lucky Magic consumers, Jenevie Verances, who received Magic domestic vacation package.  We were then shown one of the latest TV commercials of Magic Crackers that would surely bring kilig moments.

To make the event more festive, four members of the media gamely re-enacted the new commercial.  There’s no need to guess who MAGIC-ally appeared right before the commercial ends, right?

John Lloyd candidly answered questions from the media. As expected he was not only asked about why he has continued to support Jack ‘n Jill Magic all these years, but was also asked about his relationship with Angelica, his contract with ABS-CBN, and his career plans.

As much as I wanted to wait for my #MagicMoment to have a picture taken with John Lloyd (the real one and not a standee!), mom duties called and I had to head back home.  To be frank though, I wasn’t that sorry to have left early ‘coz I got to have more #MagicMoments with my bulilits who were ecstatic when I brought home an assorted bunch of Magic Crackers.

Jack ‘n Jill Magic really does have a way of turning ordinary situations into magical ones.  The success of the #MagicMoment campaign stems from the happiness brought to Magic consumers as they are given amazing prizes by the Magic Man himself John Lloyd Cruz.  Want to view these magical moments?  Watch the video below to find out how. 😀

The BIG Crowd at THE BIG FUN EVENT in JOLLITOWN

 photo JollitownSundae.jpg

It’s the BIGgest Twirl ever!

BIG! The Jollitown: The Big Fun Event literally lived up to its name. There were BIG (gigantic according to one bulilit) inflatables in Jollitown and a very BIG crowd all lining up to have some BIG fun.

 photo JollitownATTcrowd.jpg

Held last October 26 at the SMX Convention Center, The Big Fun Event was Jollibee’s way of celebrating National Kids Month with Jollibee Kids Club members and their families.  And what better way to celebrate Kids Month than by bringing Jollitown to life, right?  The turnout was so BIG that by the time we arrived around noon, they had already run out of Passports. Since there was still a long line of people waiting to go inside, they just gave out photocopies (or computer printouts) of the colored passport.

As shown on the passport, there were a total of thirteen fun booths in Jollitown. Toys and other treats were given at each booth. Most booths featured inflatables where kids can jump, bounce, slide, and have a jolly great fun. A couple of booths, Pipoy Puno and Master the Burger Station, featured learning activities.

The kids weren’t able to check out all the booths but they were nonetheless happy to have been able to experience a fun afternoon in Jollitown. They didn’t just get to play, they also went home with their fave Yum burgers and kiddie toys!

The Jollitown: The Big Fun Event was held exclusively for Jollibee Kids Club members. Jollibee has other exciting activities and awesome surprises for JKC members, so make sure you sign up now at your fave Jollibee branch lest you miss out on the fun. As for us, we’re definitely looking forward to the next big fun event. We’ll make sure to go there really early next time. 🙂
