Little Jade joined the Ultimate Summer Camp in SM Marikina this May. I thought it would be a perfect venue for her to get used to being with other children so she won’t have a hard time adjusting when she goes to school this June. The summer camp started last week and we’ve had loads of fun with the activities. So far, we’ve had a Mall Tour, a Magic Tricks Workshop, a Sports Clinic, a Mad Science exhibit, a Scrapbooking Workshop and a Drawing Workshop. The most recent, and Jade’s most favorite, activity was the Cookie Decorating Workshop sponsored by Mrs Q Cakes & Pastries.
She couldn’t control the icing pipe (or whatever it’s called…tee-hee) well yet so she just ended up smothering the cookies with squigglies. I decorated one cookie with her name and she was careful enough not to cover the letters with icing and just decorated the top and bottom. It actually looked pretty nice. Too bad I wasn’t able to take a decent picture of that cookie before it ended up in our tummies.
Jade had so much fun decorating (uhm…squeezing the icing out of the pipe and onto the cookies :D) the cookies that I had to buy two additional cookies for her to decorate. The cookie decorating activity didn’t start on time though so I had to keep my little entertained with The Cookie Song from Barney which we ended up singing the entire length of the workshop.
