Camping Gear That Can Be Used During Emergencies

Summer has already ended and many have fun memories of camping trips and other outdoor activities. Don’t place the camping gear that you got from sites like Premier Outdoor Gear or borrowed from friends in the attic, as some of them can be very useful during emergencies.

First aid kits, sleeping bags, flashlights, ropes, duct tape and a top cell booster to make sure you always have signal, are some camping essentials that you would do well to have handy. Make sure your kits have antiseptic wipes, bandages, and halazone tablets. Place these essentials in an easy-to-carry bag such as Big Agnes duffel bags and place the bag where you can easily reach it during emergencies.

The climate is very unpredictable now and natural disasters seem to occur more often so it really pays to be ready for any calamity.

Some friends of ours have an RV that they use when camping, which seems like a great idea, as they’ll be able to hook up things like an electric cool box to it so they can have extra cooling facilities for those all-important drinks. However, on their last camping trip, the RV actually broke down en route to their campsite! My friend’s wife told me “Thank goodness we had insurance – good sam rv warranty saved us driving cross country!”.

Ultimately, disasters can happen to anyone, so it is important to always be prepared.
