P.S. from Aeropostale Comes To Town

Someone came to town before Santa Claus!  They’ve also brought plenty of treats for everyone.  Cool and trendy kids from our side of the Metro won’t be pouting this season as P.S. from Aéropostale is now available at the UP Town Center.  And what better way to spread the news than to throw a Kids’ Fair!

Held at the Amphitheatre of UP Town Center last November 22, the P.S. from Aéropostale Kids’ Fair was definitely a fair to remember. 😉

Food was everywhere! Servers were going around with trays of sliders, lemonades, cupcakes, etcetera, etcetera.  There was unlimited Sabrett, FIC, Buy-the-Bucket nachos, and churros for everyone too.  Pardon the lack of decent pictures; my hands were holding different assortment of food most of the time. 😛

A fair wouldn’t be complete without games and activities and though what they had were not the usual game booths in fairs, the kids still had loads of fun. Not particularly surprising, they loved playing foosball and painting on the wall the most.

 photo PSactivities.jpg

The highlight of the fair is, of course, a fashion show featuring the latest from P.S. from Aéropostale.  Rain poured just as the show started but the kid and teen models still delighted the crowd as they walked the runway wearing must-have pieces this season.  Two little boys wowed the crowd with their MJ moves!

The movie screening of How To Train A Dragon 2, which my little ones were looking forward to, was canceled as the rain wouldn’t let up.  Fortunately, they were able to enjoy the food and games before it rained. 😀

Missed the fair? Here’s something you shouldn’t miss – BLACK FRIDAY SALE! Get 50% off everything except fragrances and watches.

This sale is just for tomorrow, November 28, so make sure you spare some time to go shopping. Aéropostale’s Black Friday Sale will be at UP Town Center, Robinsons Midtown, SM Megamall, and Central Square Bonifacio High Street. Like PSfromAeroPH on Facebook so you won’t miss out on any promos and events like the Kids’ Fair.

New Look, New Commercials, More Magic Moments

So you’re having an awfully bad day beset with problems on how to make ends meet raising your child all on your own. You take your child to the grocery to buy whatever essentials you could with the little money you have left. Then out of nowhere, John Lloyd Cruz appears and tells you that you have won a domestic vacation package. Now that is one MAGIC MOMENT! And that is exactly what happened to Jenevie Verances.

 photo MagicMomentsJenevie.jpg

Jen was just buying groceries when she was chosen. The sound of her young child’s squeaky shoes caught the attention of the Magic Flakes Magic Moments team. Watch the video to see how her day became truly magical.

More MAGIC Moments

Jen’s story is just one of the many Magic-al surprises sprung by John Lloyd Cruz on Magic consumers. From the 8 activations in 2013 that brought happiness and immeasurable delight to consumers in Metro Manila, MAGIC now holds activations across all regions. Jen was buying Magic Chips in Cebu when she won. Other Magic consumers from Iloilo, Pampanga, and Laguna have also won various prizes such as Magic Family Treat, Magic Back-to-School Package, and Magic Shopping Treat.

Magic brand ambassador John Lloyd Cruz will be surprising more consumers with truly memorable Magic Moments. He’ll be going to different regions to give out Magic bundles and Magic packages to lucky consumers. Winners can also expect warm embraces and a kiss on the check from the Magic Man himself. So if you see a Magic promo booth, grab your fave Magic crackers and you just might have that Magic Moment with the Magic Man John Lloyd!

“The team and I are looking forward to bringing more magic to different localities around the country. Participating in this activity has changed my life in a unique way. I am truly thankful to Jack ‘n Jill Magic for giving me this opportunity.”

– John Lloyd Cruz –

The MAGIC Continues: Four Years and Counting

The joy he feels every time he sees the smiles of those who are given special Magic Moments is just one of the many reasons why John Lloyd Cruz continues to support Jack ‘n Jill Magic. Asked why he has stayed with Magic all these years, John Lloyd says that he has found in Magic something better than brands we got used to. He says, “Tayong mga Pinoy madaling masanay pero when I tasted Magic, sabi ko there’s something better pala. Mas gusto ko ito.”

Chris Hernandez, Marketing Director of Jack ‘n Jill Magic, says that John Lloyd was chosen as MAGIC’s Brand Ambassador because he personifies the Magic Brand. He has charisma which is evidently seen in the reactions of people when they see him.

To mark his fourth year with Magic, new commercials showcasing stories of excitement and kilig moments will be aired soon. This new TV campaign will highlight consumers enjoying their fave Magic variants in different scenarios. One commercial I’d love to see again is the one where a girl says “Taken!” Here’s another one that has already hit the net:

New Look Same MAGIC-al Taste

While waiting for the new commercials to air on television, we could already enjoy the different Magic variants in their new distinctive packagings featuring a striking balance between straight and curvy edges. The brighter hues of red, blue, and yellow give them a more upbeat and youthful look. Now you’ve got MAGIC crackers perfect for the vibrant you!

Ready for School with ROBBY RABBIT BAGS

Save for a few more books that need to be covered, both kids are all set for big school next week.  We’ve been spending the past couple of days preparing them for their new school sched. That means waking up early and getting used to school routine.  This also includes familiarizing them with their bags, books, and school supplies.

This year, hubby bought Robby Rabbit trolley bags for the two kids – their big bags for big school.  The little girl got the pink and purple Flower Blast bag and the little boy got the black and gray Go Fast Extreme.

Although different in design, both bag had similar features – spacious main compartment, multiple compartments, interior organizer, e-z grip handle, side pockets for lunch bag and water tumbler, hydropocket and multi-directional spinner wheels.

The bags also came with pencil cases, lunch bags, and water tumblers. The water tumblers come with pouches that can be easily attached to the side of the trolley bag.

The first few months of school is expected to be beset with rain so I asked my husband to buy raincovers for the kids’ bags.  He didn’t have to buy any though as both Robby Rabbit bags had raincovers.  The one on my li’l boy’s bag was even securely attached to the back of the main bag so there’s no risk of losing it at all.

 photo RRraincover.jpg

I forgot to take a picture of the wheels but they are the best feature of these bags. Each bag has six spinner wheels that allow even small children to maneuver the bag with ease. The wheels rotate a full 360° degrees so it’s easy to move the bag in any direction.  The two kids have been practicing moving their bags and have managed to do so without difficulty.

The only thing that the kids don’t like in their bags are the buckles.  They’re both having a hard time opening and closing the buckles.  The little girl’s finger even got caught in the buckle while she was practicing opening and closing it.  Apart from that, we love all the features of their Robby Rabbit bags.  We’re hoping the bags would be durable enough to last the entire school year or even a couple years more.

How about your kids,  what bags have they been using for school?  Would you recommend another brand for us or are you using Robby Rabbit bags as well?

The Perfect Blend of Jolly Spaghetti and the Legaspi Family

Last Thursday, May 15, Jollibee hosted an intimate lunch at the Fairmont Hotel to formally introduce Carmina Villaroel, Zoren Legaspi, and their twins as the newest family endorser of Jolly Spaghetti. Never mind that this shy li’l mom ended up singing (more like chanting actually tee-hee) the new Jollibee Spaghetti jingle in front of a roomful of mediamen, I definitely had a great time meeting the Legaspi family – such a beautiful family! – and lunching on sweet-sarap Jolly Spaghetti and Crispylicious Chicken Joy.

 photo LegaspiFamily.jpg

Full Circle. This is what Carmina’s relationship with Jollibee has come as she and her entire family joins the Jollibee family as the newest endorsers of Jolly Spaghetti. Those who grew up in the 80s (*mama raises hand*) would most likely remember the commercial that launched the young Carmina’s career in showbizness. I saw this clip on YouTube for those who haven’t seen that commercial yet.

In the latest Jollibee commercial, Carmina is joined by her husband Zoren and their adorable twins, Cassy and Mavy.  As you watch the new ad, you can’t help reminiscing with the many parallel scenes from the ad of the young Carmina – the story sequence, facial expressions, the whispered “thank you” – even her clothes are similar to the ones she wore years ago. Zoren quips that this was an answered prayer for Carmina who has been dreaming of doing the commercial with her entire family.

“I’m excited to be back with the Jollibee family and this homecoming is extra special because this time, I’ll be with my own family. Together with my husband and kids, I feel that we’re going to have the time of our lives sharing the langhap-sarap world of Jollibee with everyone.”

-Carmina-

Jolly Spaghetti: Beyond Sweet Spaghetti

Just as Carmina has captured the hearts of Filipinos since her first Jollibee commercial, Jolly Spaghetti’s one-of-a-kind blend has continued to capture the hearts and taste buds of Filipino families the world over. Since it was launched in 1979 as Spaghetti Special, it has been rebranded as Jolly Spaghetti and Jollibee Spaghetti but has remained to the best spaghetti Pinoys love. Its delicious blend of sweetness and rich tomato taste with the right amount of cheese and meats sets it beyond just sweet spaghetti. It’s sweet-sarap na the best!

 photo JollibeeSpaghetti.png

The Perfect Blend – Just Like the Jolly Spaghetti

Just as the Jollibee Spaghetti is a perfect blend of sauce, cheese, meats, and spaghetti, the Legaspi family is also a perfect blend of distinct personalities that make them a great example of a happy Pinoy family. This makes them the best choice as the new faces for Jollibee Spaghetti. That, and the fact that just like any other Pinoy family, they also do love Jolly Spaghetti.

“It has the perfect blend of flavours we Pinoys want in a spaghetti dish. It has a sweet-sarap taste with rich and appetizing tomato taste that makes me, Carmina, and our kids want more!”

-Zoren –

Asked what ingredients of Jollibee spaghetti they would be, Zoren and Mavy say they’d be cheese mainly because they’re the “cheesy” ones in the family. Cassie says she’s the sauce as she adds flavour to the family. Initially saying that she was “everything” as she “completes them”, Carmina said she was the pasta coz without the spaghetti noodles there would be no spaghetti. The Legaspi family acknowledges their individual differences and are thankful that their distinct personalities complement each other.

I guess we’ll be seeing more of this beautiful family bonding over the perfect blend of their favorite Jolly Spaghetti. 🙂 Oh, and in case, you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the newest TVC of Jollibee Spaghetti.
