We’ve always been told that it is better to give than to receive but, undeniably, being on the receiving end never fails to put a smile on our faces. I’ve been listing all the names of those we’d be giving gifts too this Christmas. While trying to come up with gift ideas for them, I couldn’t help but wish for some gifts myself. I know it sounds childish but I still would like to write a letter to Santa and send it to the North Pole.
One of our friends has bought his wife a gorgeous name necklace as one of her Christmas gifts this year. Customized gifts are always a little extra special as they are something that can be treasured forever. I am so tempted to ask Santa for one for myself too.
However, since Santa is fictional, it might be a better option to write a note to hubby instead. I seriously doubt if he’d ever think that the princess in me would want to have a diamond necklace with matching earrings. On the other hand, he’s sure to know that the practical Mom in me would want something useful such as a laptop, a mobile phone, kitchenware, a pair of shoes, or new clothes. A mommy’s day off with a complete pampering package sounds wonderful too. Lest I be deemed hard to please with all these expensive gifts I’ve listed, I’d still be perfectly happy with just a hug and a kiss. It wouldn’t hurt though if hubby can also throw in even just a breakfast in bed.
