Logos Hope has docked in Manila! Come visit the floating bookstore.

The Logos Hope has docked at Pier 15 in Manila’s South Harbor!  The Logos Hope is part of the GBA Fleet which sends out ships all over the world to “bring knowledge, help, and hope to the people of the world”.

Knowledge.  Logos Hope carries about half a million books with over 5,000 titles covering topics on science, arts, philosophy, fiction, and many others.

Help.  Being more than just a ship with thousands of books, the Logos Hope also bring aid and relief to communities that need them.  Book donations, free dental check-ups, and support for AIDS awareness education are just some of the many ways they have helped communities.

Hope.  By focusing on the needs of others rather than themselves, the volunteer crew of Logos Hope brings hope to others.  Talk to a volunteer crew and you’ll surely be inspired by his/her life story.

The Logos Hope would be in Manila only until March 13 so better schedule a trip there now.   Don’t go on Mondays though as it would be closed then.  Come from 10 am – 9:30 pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays or  1 pm  – 9:30 pm on Sundays.

Entrance tickets cost 20 pesos each which is really quite affordable.  Also, children aged 12 years old and below need not pay any entrance fee as long as they are with an adult.  Come bring your entire family to this wonderful floating book fair and help others in turn.

  1. This is a wonderful endeavor! I’ve always loved reading and am hearing about this floating bookstore for the first time. Thanks for the heads up!

  2. i hope we catch it this time…last time I hopped on was 6 or 7 years ago..a long time ago. lol! i remember it was called Duolos pa. haven’t a clue why it changed but I’m sure we’ll find nice books for everyone.

    • they need to get new one because the Doulos is too old already 🙂 that’s why. This one is now airconditioned. it’ll be a lot easier to find books .and i heard that they set up new things in the ship, they also added lots of books 😉

      • This is the first time we’ve been on the ship so I can’t tell which ones have been recently added. It definitely was a wonderful experience and we’ll surely take the kids to MV Logos Hope when it docks in Manila again.
