Easter Crafts and The Eggspert Hunters Adventure

Easter this year was a bit more fun than the previous ones mainly because we opted to join an egg hunt that was open to the public.  In the previous years, Easter Egg Hunt activities were relegated to the confines of our home.  When I saw the poster for the EGGspert HUNTers on the window of Jollibee Riverbanks and saw that the event was going to be held at the Amphitheater, I immediately asked my husband if the kids could join.  I actually insisted that the kids be allowed to join the egg hunt as this would certainly be a wonderful experience for them.

The ticket costs 150 pesos each but was well worth every penny.  Aside from the entrance to the EGGspert HUNTers Adventure, ticketholders also got snacks from Jollibee and lootbags filled with toys and goodies.  Easter baskets were not provided though so we had to make our own.

We have several colorful plastic baskets we use in the kitchen so we opted to just decorate them with foam stickers and our easter crafts.  Jade and Jakei made rabbit faces, peek-a-boo chicks, and bunny ears.  My niece, Ally, helped her mini-me Jade jazz up her orange Easter basket.  They make such a great team, they were paired up in the egg hunt as well.

On Easter Sunday, we arrived at the Amphitheater all eager for an afternoon of fun with Jollibee. To say that it was hot that afternoon is an understatement.  The kids didn’t seem to mind the heat though.  They were all running around like fluffy little chicks, err…rabbits.

The area that was cordoned off for the egg hunt was designed as a farm with hay strewn across the grass and a couple of haystacks towering above the ground.  There was a mini-barn and standees of different farm animals.  They even created a mini-pond complete with yellow plastic ducks floating in it and a nice wooden bridge set across it.  The entire set-up was wonderful and I have nothing but praises for those who prepared the venue.  Save for the stifling heat, it would really have been a marvelous egg hunt adventure.
