There’s a new zoo at the NIDO FORTIFIED Science Discovery Center at the SM Mall of Asia. And it’s not just any ordinary zoo – it’s The Robot Zoo!
A giant squid with 18-foot tentacles, a housefly with a 10-foot wingspread, a giraffe whose head and neck alone stretch 9 feet tall, a platypus, a grasshopper, and a chameleon are just among the hordes of critters and beasts featured at The Robot Zoo.
Developed by Evergreen Exhibits and based on the book “The Robot Zoo,” conceived, edited and designed by Marshall Editions of London, England, the exhibit reveals the fascinating biomechanics of animals through larger-than-life robotic constructs that feature cutaways which expose the animals’ insides. On these cutaways, visitors can easily marvel at recognizable machine parts and gadgets like shock absorbers and pumps that demonstrate how these animals can do wonders.
What greets the guests upon entering is the Robot Zoo Giraffe, one of the main attractions of the newly opened Robot Zoo.
A Chameleon, a Platypus, and a Giant Squid are just some of the many marvelous exhibits at The Robot Zoo.
Aside from being able to discover how these animals are able to do such astonishing feats, the Robot Zoo also features interactive activities that will certainly give visitors hands-on fun and excitement.
“The Robot Zoo serves as a preview to the more exciting things we have in store for our re-launch—something we’re all so thrilled about. Every year, our group tours and walk in guests are growing in number. We brought The Robot Zoo to the Philippines not only to provide new fun learning experiences but also to be able to accommodate more kids, students, and curious/active minds into our facilities” says Arturo Carballo, Senior Operations Manager of NIDO FORTIFIED Science Discovery Center. “In keeping with our mission to celebrate the love for learning, we will be revamping our exhibits with fresh new material for everyone to enjoy. The Robot Zoo is first among the new walk-through galleries we’re about to present to the Filipino audience.”

I want to visit the Robot Zoo in SM Mall of Asia because my two kids are fascinated with animals. They have been to different types of zoos here and abroad and this one in MOA is surely unique. My son, most especially, is enamored with robots. I am a believer in taking my children out in the world to let them experience and see things first-hand. And this Robot Zoo experience will most definitely be a learning experience for them.

I want to visit the Robot Zoo in SM Mall of Asia because I believe that it’s easier for kids to absorb knowledge thru actual presentation and not only thru the books. They learn faster thru seeing and touching. We have been to the NIDO FORTIFIED Science Discovery Center at MOA with my daughter and she learned a lot about .science, experiencing them thru actual demos and at the same time have fun. Thru this kind of presentation, kids learned that science is not boring but entertaining and can be seen in everyday things so that they learn to explore with their eyes, touch and hearing. This is a very welcome addition to the NIDO FORTIFIED Science Discovery Center.

I want to visit the Robot Zoo in SM Mall of Asia because i want to bring my niece and nephew there again… NIDO Science Discovery Center in MOA had been the place where me and my sibs and their babies get to be together for the first time,….we really had so much fun then… it would be lovely to be there again with them… plus this time i have my own baby to bring with me too!!! I want to visit the Robot Zoo in SM Mall of Asia because because my 4 year old godson (Mark) will surely love this. He is an animal lover, art appreciator, and being a normal boy, he loves robots! As Mark’s Ninang, I want to be able to contribute to his well-being by nourishing his interests and talents by visiting amazing kid-friendly places like this. I know that the experience will be amazing for any child because it brings out the creativity, curiosity, and willingness to learn and discover in them.
