If you are thinking of getting a used car, then you might want to get started and check out a site like Autozin to help you find your perfect car. Don’t forget that one of the most important aspects of purchasing a used vehicle is the test drive. Here are some effective tips for test driving a used car.

Test drive on a nice day

Car shoppers should always test drive a used vehicle on a relatively pleasant day. If there is any inclement weather, it is advisable to reschedule the test drive for another time. Harsh weather could cause the person to rush through the test driving process.

Inspect the exterior

Before getting behind the wheel of the vehicle, first take the time to inspect the condition of the exterior. If there are any dents or areas of faded paint, the prospective buyer can use these facts to negotiate a cheaper price for the vehicle. The frame of the vehicle must also be inspected for any surface rust. Do not forget to ask questions about whether the car requires any replacement parts either. It is relatively easy to use websites like Compare Parts to find spare parts for cars online at a good price nowadays, so do not let this put you off buying a used car that requires a little work.

Check the comfort of the vehicle

When sitting in the driver’s seat, remember to adjust the seat to the appropriate driving position. While one test driver may find the vehicle to be a perfect fit, another person may find the same vehicle to be extremely uncomfortable.

Extended test drive

If possible, it is always a good idea to drive the vehicle in the city and on the highway. Click here to check out some affordable used vehicles.

How to Keep Your Car Insurance Cheap

Everyone knows that owning a car comes with a lot of expenses in addition to the purchase of the car. Things like insurance, gas, and maintenance add up to a lot of money. This is why it’s important to cut down costs whenever possible. As long as you play it smart, you can keep your car insurance in Milwaukee fairly cheap. A lot of decisions that you make can change any monthly premiums you may have to pay and the quality of the insurance plans that you are offered. If you find yourself really stuck when it comes to insurance, you could always talk to a broker from a company like State Farm, who have offices everywhere from WI to West Fargo, ND and whose agents are licensed in a number of insurance areas, including auto insurance.

Play It Smart – Keep Costs Low

One of the biggest factors in your insurance price is your driving record. Those with a cleaner driving record will pay much less, because an insurance company sees that you are a careful driver and does not classify you as a risk. They will not make you pay more because they believe there is less of a chance that they will be required to pay for any damages from your unsafe driving. Try to be a defensive driver on the road and avoid silly things like speeding and parking tickets. If you follow the law, you will keep a clean record.

Another thing that has a huge impact on the cost of your insurance is the car that you drive. The kind of car you have makes a big difference. Buy a used car rather than a new one; the insurance on a new car can be exponentially bigger than that of a used one. Also avoid any expensive sports cars. If you get a reliable car that is cheaper, you will not only save money on the car itself, but the insurance that you pay on the vehicle. It might be worth checking out how much your premium would be, before buying the car, otherwise you may end up paying a lot more than you want to. Most companies today have insurance agency software which will allow you to access everything you need quickly, and some will even have the ability to run a quote online, to save you time ringing up! You need to research the type of insurance you want, you could even buy comprehensive insurance based on usage! Do your research to find the best policy for you.

Finding an Insurance Company

You will need to find an insurance company to give you car insurance in Milwaukee that works for you. Call around to see your different options and find out what they will really cost, including additional fees. Find a good plan that you think will cover any accidents you have. Think about where you live and what to expect when picking a plan in order to find one that will cover your expenses.

We Got Free Car Check-Up and Freebies from Bosch Service!

We got a free check-up!  Well, not us really but our car.  Bosch Philippines in cooperation with Outbox Media treated car owners to a free car check up during the Bosch Auto Fest 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia last June 23.  Oh yeah, this post should have been posted ages ago!  I’m no car enthusiast though and know as much about cars as I know about scientific reductionism – which is virtually nothing.  Hence, I had to wait for my hubby to explain to me what kind of services were done on our car.

Hubby told me that they did a diagnosis of our vehicle electronics.  “Uh, what?” was my blunt reply coupled with a blank face.  “They plugged an equipment in a port in our car and used it to check if our car is running well.”  With the use of the latest Bosch testing technology, our car’s electronics and electrics were checked if they were functioning properly.  They also inspected the car’s interiors and exteriors for damages and for anything that may need repair.

While our car was being assessed, we tried a couple of races on the Daytona arcade rides.  The kids were getting fussy so we had to stop though I really just wanted to stay there and play.  There was also Optimus Prime to delight the little ones.  My little Jakei even wanted to dance with him.

The check up took quite some time and the kids got pretty restless.  Good thing, the venue was at the parking lot of the Science Discovery Center so it was easy to find activities to keep the kids entertained.  The kids and I just walked around the mall and  tried some of the indoor rides until it was time to go home.  We didn’t win any of the awesome raffle prizes but we got to bring home some cool stuff just as well.

Our car is only several months old and was expectedly still running in optimal condition.  I asked hubby if having a car’s electronics diagnosed is important and he replied in the affirmative.  He also told me that keeping a car in good condition leads to fuel efficiency which in turn leads to more savings in terms of lower gasoline expense.  So, keep your car running in its best by taking it to a service center for complete diagnostics atleast once a year.
